Rum River Construction Consultants has developed
and presented state approved courses since 2009,
concentrating on what is most important related to
building durability, energy conservation and safety
considerations.

2021 brought a new series of Building Codes which outline the minimum
standards required across the state. Approved courses include vital
information on the following:

• Minnesota Residential Code administrative provisions
• Residential contractor and remodeling licensing requirements
• Business Management strategies, concentration on insurance options and needs
• MN Energy Code thermal envelope components
• Bearing Pin Piers as an alternate to conventional concrete footings
• Handling & installation of metal-plate-connected wood trusses
