EPA RRP LEAD RULE
The EPA issued a new rule starting in 2008 requiring all contractors and subcontractors working in homes built before 1978 to follow strict containment and clean-up procedures when encountering lead-based paint.
EPA certification is a 2-step process:
1) Take the 8-hour course
2) Register your company with the EPA which costs $300

How to get certified and re-certified
Are you listed on EPA’s RRP website as a Lead Certified Firm? Building code officials are required to check that remodelers are listed on EPA’s RRP list of certified firms per MN Statute 326B.106.
