This law states that a contractor may be liable for the unpaid wages and benefits of a subcontractor’s employee.

The @minnesotadli provided more details on the upcoming mandatory sick and leave time law that will take place on January, 1st 2024.

There will be some additional requirements for employers to abide by once this law goes into effect:
-Employers are to include the total number of earned sick and safe time hours accrued that are available for use on earning statements at the end of each pay period.
-You must provide employees with a notice by January 1, 2024 -or at the start of employment, whichever is later - informing them about earned sick and safe time.
-It will be required to include a sick and safe time notice in the employee handbook, if the employer has one.
