BAM Builders Day at the Capitol

BAM is planning our first virtual Builders Day at the Capitol (DAC) on Wednesday April 14.

We will host individual meetings for each association to engage with your local lawmakers to get the most beneficial conversations for members since we cannot visit legislators in person this year. Since lobby day is a bit later this year, we will have a good understanding of the bills that will be moving through the capitol.

The proposed schedule for the day is as follows:

8 am-8:30 am Introduction/ ‘How to Lobby’ training

8:30 am-9 am DLI Commissioner Roslyn Robertson

9 am-4 pm Local Association Meetings (45 minutes each)

4 pm-5 pm “Happy Hour’ and DAC debrief

Members joining for the day should expect to attend the morning intro/ speaker and of course their local meeting at a specific time in the afternoon. Since we’re virtual this year, there should be much less of a time commitment for members, especially without the travel!
