EO Orientation- Washington DC

This event has ended

NAHB Orientation is scheduled for April 26-27, 2022. Register now. View a sample agenda.

What is the Purpose of the Program?

This orientation provides executive officers (EOs) the opportunity to become familiar with NAHB’s programs, products and services. Through networking with their peers and NAHB staff, EOs can more effectively articulate NAHB’s benefits and the services it makes available to HBAs and members.

Who’s Eligible?

NAHB Orientation is designed to benefit EOs with less than five (5) years of experience. However, all NAHB-affiliated full- and part-time EOs are eligible to register!

What Are My Attendance Obligations?

All attendees will be required to attend a day of meetings. Attendees must complete a program evaluation specifying how they and their respective HBAs benefited from attending; this includes what they found most beneficial and areas for improvement.

Travel Stipend and Reimbursement Information

Funding of up to $1,255* is provided to all registered attendees. Reimbursements will be made based on actual dollars spent on airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and a predetermined food allowance for meals not included in the event programming. Stipends are earmarked for first-time attendees.

How to Apply

Registration is open now. The deadline to apply for the Spring session is March 25, 2022.

Each registration must include a letter from your association president supporting your attendance and committing the HBA to your time away from the office. Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will only be considered if space allows.

Please note: There are limited spaces for the orientation. Please make certain you can commit to attending the orientation prior to completing the registration form. EOs who register but do not attend may be taking another applicant’s place.

*In order to be eligible for any reimbursements, associations need to be in full compliance with all NAHB requirements, including the NAHB bylaws, and must have a fully executed Affiliation Agreement with NAHB. By completing this application, the affiliated organization accepts and agrees to be bound by NAHB’s policy governing the Program. Final determinations of compliance with NAHB’s Bylaws and whether an affiliated organization is “current” in its reporting and payment obligations shall be made by NAHB’s Third Vice Chairman. In the event of a dispute, NAHB’s records shall be deemed accurate and dispositive. Any decision made by NAHB shall be final and shall not be subject to challenge or appeal.
