COVID-19’s impact on the workplace
The Builders Association of Minnesota (BAM) has led the industry in proactive advocacy on COVID-19 resources. Recently the Department of Labor and Industry shared a video that reviews worker protections during the COVID-19 pandemic. The video aims to minimize confusion by informing employers and workers of issues relating to COVID-19’s impact on the workplace. The video is available in English, Hmong, Somali and Spanish.
Greetings,
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruptions in many workplaces, including in the construction industry. The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) seeks to support and educate employers and workers in the state during this challenging time.
To that end, DLI has created a video that reviews worker protections during the COVID-19 pandemic. The video aims to minimize confusion by informing employers and workers of issues relating to COVID-19’s impact on the workplace.
Please review the video at your convenience and feel free to share it with your workers. The video is available in English, Hmong, Somali and Spanish. Shorter versions of the video are also available that review workplace safety and health, labor laws and workers’ compensation.
Thank you for being a partner to DLI. For more information and resources visit dli.mn.gov/updates. If you have questions, contact one of the staff members listed below.
